Buckman / Jacumba Wheeling
I got a call Saturday evening from a fellow Cruiser head asking if I wanted to join him and a co-worker for some wheeling Sunday. I hadn't been out in a while so I had the itch but I was a little hesitant knowing that his rig is fully set up with 35" tires, 6" lift, lockers, sliders, & bumpers front and rear. I'm rolling 32" tires, no sliders, no lift, and no lockers! So I was expecting a good test and possibly some body damage. The Cruiser did pretty good it took me a couple try's on some obstacles picking new lines so I wouldn't spin a tire and lose traction but I only strapped on one section that they guys think I made it on my own as the strap only tightened for one second. And as for the feared body damage it totally could have been avoided but I messed up and rubbed a nice dent into my rocker panel. But once I finally get those sliders they will hide the dent nicely. Hopefully those sliders come sooner than later!! |
