Borrego Wheeling
04/2007 - This trip started off about halfway down S22 and took Old Cup Valley trail to Jasper Trail and back onto Hwy 78. Unfortunately my camera never made it out at the beginning of this trip and there were some spectacular mountain view on Jasper trail that I can still picture in my head. Off of Hwy 78 we found the small dirt trail to Pinyon Wash. This trail had very hew thrills but the dead end allowed us to flex our rigs and snap some pics of our rigs. Once back to 78 we found the next trail turn off for Buttes Pass Trail and down The Slot and out of the canyon to San Felipe Trail. With still enough day light left we just had to squeeze in the most breath taking trail in Borrego, Sand Stone Canyon, in my opinion. We luckily made it back out to Julian on fumes where we could fill up our tanks to get us home.
